little beaver

this is what avery's crib now looks like. i'm not super happy about it cause she has a really nice crib, and don't quite know how to get her to stop eating it. i sure hope wood is a good source of fiber or something because she's been getting her share of it lately.
i'll go pick her up from her naps and she'll hand me a piece of wood that she's been chewing on. she thinks she's cute but i think she is a little stinker....(but a cute stinker).

hahaha! Lis! Carter soooo did this too. I was worried about the paint and stain he was getting, but he only did it to one side of his crib. I would come in to get him in the morning and he would have little wood chips around his mouth. He eventually stopped. But our Crib totally looks like that and I was a little angry too. Oh well, so much for new and nice things for our cuties huh.
(oh, and I don't think the wood or the paint hurt him. LOL)

Lis, you can buy crib teething guards/rail guards. I know IKEA sells them as does Babies R Us if you are concerned or want to protect your crib from further damage! :) You can always repaint/stain your crib too if you are filling ambitious! There are wood fillers that you can buy to cover the bitten off "chunks." Good luck with that cute little stinker!!

My mom said her kids always did that to the crib! Luckily Presley hasn't tired it yet.

Oh that is too funny! Parker did that when he was first getting teeth but he hasn't done it for a long time. Hopefully he doesn't start back up again. We just have two little spots where he scraped the paint off. No wood chunks!!

We just barely discovered that HAzel's done the same thing! No idea how long it's been going on, but from the looks of the cradle, I'd say it's been a while! So funny.

What in the heck?? she is so funny. I have been lucky my boys have not done this. I know they have those plastic protectors you can get for cribs. Mine came with them. I have seen them in one step ahead magazine and I am sure many others have them too. She is going to wear those teeth right off. Hopefully it is lead free paint.
